Accunect sessions are very gentle, yet surprisingly powerful.
Accunect itself is very simple to do and the basic flow of a session is very simple.
The Accunect practitioner will typically ask you some questions about your overall health and what you are seeking health for.
Note: the information you provide does not guide the session, so it is technically possible for this interview to be skipped. The reason for asking questions is so that the practitioner can monitor progress at subsequent sessions. An Accunect session is guided by intuition, not diagnosis.
The Accunect balancing itself follows these simple steps:
- The Accunect practitioner will use the Accunect Health Map and self muscle checking to intuitively find areas of the body-mind that may benefit from more internal awareness and balance.
- The practitioner will then say what they are balancing to establish a mental focus, and in some cases touch on or over various parts of the body to increase the focus on that area.
- The practitioner will then tap over the head to stimulate the nervous system and over the heart to stimulate the acupuncture meridian system. This tapping is typically done off the body as a form of electrical stimulation to the brain and heart electrical fields. Sometimes the practitioner will make very light contact while tapping, but this is optional and left to the practitioners intuition and client preferences - some people like to be touched!
The process above repeats until the Accunect practitioner determines that no further balancing is indicated for that session, using the muscle checking.
The Accunect practitioner will use then muscle checking to intuit when the optimal time for a follow-up session would be, and then ask if you have any questions about the session.
This basic flow above describes Accunect being used as a standalone modality. Accunect also synergizes very well with other therapies, so the flow of the session can change quite a bit based on the practitioner's other training and how they integrate those skills with Accunect. Because the list of different skills employed by Accunect practitioners varies so much, it's impossible to describe all the possibilities. You can always ask your practitioner which parts of the session are Accunect and which parts are from their other training.
